Mike
Alexander
President
Mike has been a Flint Bowmen
member for over 17 years. He's been our President
since 2005. In his seventeen+
years as a member, Mike has also been Bowhunter Coordinator,
Vice President, and Rules Coordinator. Mike fell in love
with the Flint Bowmen
Club when a neighbor brought him
here for the first time to shoot
someplace other than his back yard. He
was hooked immediately. Mike and his three sons spent
many hours shooting together as the boys
grew up around Flint Bowmen.
Mike founded the Flint Bowmen’s Kids’
League which has taught well over
a thousand kids to shoot a bow. Mike is a very active
hunter as well as a novice target
shooter and a guy who just wants to keep Flint Bowmen a fun
place to shoot a bow. None of Mike’s dedication to Flint
Bowmen would be possible without the incredible support of
his amazing wife, Maggie. |

Rod Coles
Vice President
Rod has been a member of Flint Bowmen since 2001. He
was introduced to the club through the kids league after his
son Josh joined the league. Josh talked his dad into getting
a bow and now the whole family shoots.
Rod enjoys shooting indoor leagues, SVAA tournaments and 3-D
leagues. He has won some local awards and a few state
awards.
He also enjoys helping Mark Salsgiver with the JOAD program
and also helping out with the kids league when he can.
Rod enjoys working along side his wife, Kim, with many
projects at the club. He has gained so many life long
friends from his involvement at Flint Bowmen! |

Laurie LaLonde
Secretary
Laurie LaLonde
Laurie has been a member since 1997. Her parents had
been very active members since 1983 so it was very natural
for Laurie to follow. Laurie has been Secretary since 2000.
She does a fantastic job of recording the minutes from all
of our monthly meeting. Laurie does not shoot very much any
more due to her busy life. Laurie is very busy with a number
of groups such as the American Legion Auxiliary and a
Medieval history group.
Laurie can be seen running the bake sale at the Fall Shoot
each year and it is not uncommon for her to come out on
workdays and put in a few hours of Club House cleaning.
Laurie will pitch in when ever her schedule permits to help
Flint Bowmen whenever she can. |

Kim Coles
Treasurer
Kim has been a member of Flint Bowmen since 2001. She
and her husband, Rod, have two wonderful children, Josh and
Crystal. In 2001 Josh started shooting on the kids league
and shortly after that, the whole family had bows and were
shooting together at local and state tournaments.
Kim was hooked on archery when she shot a
“robin-hood” in the first week of shooting her bow. She has
since won many local awards and a few state awards. She also
enjoys shooting on the 3-D leagues and shoots. Even though
her kids have moved on to JOAD, she still enjoys running the
kids league and working with JOAD.
She has been our treasurer since 2002 and serves on many
committees. With all her hard work and dedication, she was
voted a life member of Flint Bowmen in 2008.
Kim has a great family who supports her, and Rod is always
at her side and works right along with her (if he can
keep up)! Flint Bowmen has given Kim and her family a
great opportunity to meet so many people and they’ve become
great friends with many of them.

great kid and a fantastic shot for a young teenager.
Diane has been a great help in the kitchen since she became
a member and makes a mean burger. When not at the Club,
Diane enjoys watching American Idol and spending time up
north in the summer. |

Trish Rensberry
Rules Coordinator
Trish was first introduced to Flint Bowmen back in
the 80's by the Rensberry family while dating her future
husband Scott Rensberry, but didn't touch a bow until 1994
and then did better aerating the lawn than hitting the
target. Since then she has gotten better, but don't stand
too close.Scott, Trish, and
their 3 girls joined the Flint Bowmen family sometime around
2000. Scott & Trish shared Bow Hunter Coordinator duties in
2003 and 2004. In 2005, with a lot of support from the Flint
Bowmen Family, Trish continued on as Bow Hunter Coordinator,
while Scott was serving his country in Iraq.
In 2006 Trish became the FBIYC
coordinator. She then took some time off and in 2009 decided
to come back onto the board as our Public Relations
Coordinator and is currently our Rules Coordinator. Scott and Trish are also grandparents to a
little guy named Bryce, a future bow hunter and board
member.

Gary
Reppenhagen
Special Committee Coordinator
Gary has been a member since 2006. Gary has been
Special Coordinator since 2008. Gary and his wife Patty
joined Flint Bowmen for their daughter Lisa who wanted to
get more serious about Archery. While neither Gary nor Patty
shoots at this time, they are very supportive of Flint
Bowmen and Lisa’s shooting. It is not uncommon for them to
go to tournaments all over the country to have Lisa compete
in.
When not dealing with his teenage daughter, Gary works two
jobs and many hours to make the two women in his life happy.
Gary also enjoys collecting screws and donating them to
Flint Bowmen. This does not mean Gary has any screws loose
though!

with being on the Board in 2008 with being a Bowhunter
Coordinator. Lynn became the Legislative Coordinator in
2010.

bowhunting. It doesn’t matter what kind of hunting it is,
you will find Lynn doing it with what ever is legal. Lynn
has been shooting our 3-D leagues for years but has recently
(2009) added indoor target leagues to his agenda knowing the
more arrows he shoots, the more comfortable his shots will
be when a live animal is in front of him.
Lynn is one of our most imaginative members when it comes to
setting shots for our Fall Shoot. Lynn also has a very
supportive wife who enjoys sharing Lynn with all the members
at Flint Bowmen

Don
Baxter
Target Coordinator
Don has been a member since 1995. Since then,
Don has been a Bowhunter Coordinator for one year in 1998
and was Target Coordinator from 2000 to 2003. He then came
back to Target Coordinator in 2008 to the present.
Don has come farther then any shooter at Flint Bowmen in
modern history. I have been told that when Don first came to
Flint Bowmen, he pretty much sucked at shooting a bow. Don
started shooting around age 42 when he bought a bow for his
son and he wanted dad to shoot with him. Don was one of
Terry Wunderle’s first students in 1995 when he stayed the
weekend learning how to shoot the fundamentals of archery.
Don has over two dozen 300, 60 spot games recorded in
Saginaw valley shoots. One tournament Don shot three perfect
450 FITA rounds in three different categories, using three
different bows! This was at Flint Bowman. He shot the indoor
animal league in 1999 with 26 other league shooters and shot
30 arrows for 12 weeks and never missed the 10 ring; from
the size of a nickel on a squirrel to the standard size on a
deer. As well as winning dozens of archery leagues, here are
a few of his accomplishments. He has more than 20 MI state
championships, 5 US North region championships, 2 National
Championships and currently holds 5 US National records in
Star FITA Outdoor Compound Master 50+. Don is on the PSE Pro
Staff and has other sponsors as well.
Don is a retired Electrician from GM but is now found
working with his friend at
Spot Shooter Archery
in Holly MI.
Don loves to work on bows, arrows and any other archery
equipment. “Working with Jim Beasley and on his Pro staff
has been one of my greatest enjoyments and blessings".
Don has a wonderful supportive wife and family that allow
him to have fun with his bow. One of Don’s favorite hobbies,
besides shooting archery is doing dream and vision
interpretation.

he has only been shooting a bow a few years. Nathan enjoys
the challenge of trying to carp shoot with a bow as well as
hunting deer with a bow.
Nathan is an avid hunter and fisherman. He is also an expert
carpenter as some of his decks are breathtaking. Nathan has
a fantastic, supportive wife, 4 kids and one grandson that

Juli Campbell
FBIYC Coordinator
Juli was introduced to the Flint Bowmen by
her son Donald. In 2008 Donald had the pleasure of shooting
The Flint Bowmen’s fall shoot and asked his mom if she would
bring him back for the Hick’s shoot. That is when they
learned about the Kid’s league. Donald was introduced to
Mark Salsgiver the JOAD coach while shooting the kid’s
league. Donald then joined JOAD and they became members of
the Flint Bowmen. At that time Juli was not shooting. After
taking her son hunting she decided to start shooting. Juli
has only been shooting for about a year. Donald and Juli
enjoy taking part in the different tournaments. Juli is the
proud mother of two sons. Her other son is Malcolm who is a
senior at Western Michigan University. This will be Juli’s
second year as FBIYC Coordinator. The FBIYC board and Juli
are making many exciting plans for the kids at the club.
Juli is looking forward to
working with the many wonderful families at Flint Bowmen.
Juli and her family have met so many interesting people
through the Flint Bowmen and have developed many great
friendships.

Mark
Salsgiver
JOAD Coach
(Not a board position)
Mark has been a member of Flint Bowmen since
1998 when his son Travis started shooting in the JOAD
shooting program. It wasn’t long afterwards that Mark
couldn’t take just watching that he started shooting
himself. A few short years later he took over the JOAD
program and has been coaching young kids at Flint Bowmen
ever since.Mark has had several of his
JOAD kids win many awards, from national championships to
many state and local championships. Some of his JOAD kids
are National and state record holders. His JOAD group
consists of young kids who are very interested in shooting
archery competitively. Mark is a level 2 coach and has
also coached many of the adults at Flint Bowmen. He also
holds a class for women shooters every year. There is hardly
a time at the club that you won’t find Mark helping someone
learn to shoot. Mark is an avid
indoor target shooter and has many awards. He currently
holds a state record for indoor NFAA, and took second place
in the indoor NAA championships in 2007. He was also
“Archer of the year” in 2006.
God has blessed Mark in so many ways.
He is the proud father of two boys, Travis and Justin who is
married to beautiful daughter in law Tiffany, and the proud
“papa” of two grandchildren, Gabriel and Ava Grace who have
stolen his heart. He has been married to the love of his
life, Becky for over 30 years. Mark is a commercial pilot
for Continental Airlines where he flies the Boeing 737. He
has been flying for over 25
years. Over the years, Mark has made so many GREAT friends
at flint Bowmen and hopes to continue shooting for many more
years. |

Tom
Sanders
Webmaster
(Not a board position)
Tom has been a member of Flint Bowmen Club since some time
in the early 1990s (?). He and his brother Mike joined a
league and then attended a Fall Shoot. After that, it was
only a matter of time before they both became members.Tom has served on the board in the
past and now takes care of the website for the club. Tom is
probably best known at the club for being the original
recipient of the coveted "Hay Bale" Award. But that's a
completely different story all it's own.
"I've been
away from hunting, and the club, for a number of years now
and I'm pretty excited to get back into it. I've missed it
more than I ever would have imagined. In the past, my wife
Charlene and I have made some great memories and some
incredible friendships through the Flint Bowmen Club. I'm
anxious to share this whole "club experience" with my
teenage daughters. It's just good to be back"
