What is a club shoot? A club shoot is a free 3-D shoot for the
members of Flint Bowmen. It is one of the perks of being a member of
the Flint Bowmen Club.
We will have three club shoots this summer. The first is Sunday June
8. The second one is Sunday, July 20 and the third one is set for
September 7(but I think we will be moving this one). The calendar
shows that some of these start at noon but
they actually start at 10 A.M. and you need to be done by 4 P.M. to
attend the membership meeting that always follows the shoots.
These shoots consist of 14 targets, so
it doesn’t take too long to shoot. We always set the kids stakes so
they can enjoy the shoots as much as the adults. These are not
usually set to be the toughest shots, but I like to set at least one
shot you will talk about when the shoot is over!
These club shoots also double as our Club Championships. What that
means is if you shoot really well in these shoots, you might be
awarded the Club Championship in your division. We take the highest
two scores from two out of the three club shoots because some
members can’t make it to all three of these shoots. So you only need
to shoot two of them to qualify for the championship. The kids can
also win so make sure you bring the family to enjoy these free
shoots. I am always surprised that so few of our members take
advantage of these each year. It’s free DUDE, it doesn’t get any
cheaper than FREE!
