FBIYC October
Celebration
Sunday, October 16th
2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Get some extra mileage out of those Halloween costumes
and
bring your kids to our October Celebration at Flint Bowmen!
We will start with a Costume Contest. Three non-partial
judges will choose the top 3 costumes - prizes will be
awarded!
After that, we will decorate pumpkins - instead of carving
them. All supplies will be provided and your child can
create a decoration you can use year after year.
Finally, we will go on a Halloween Treat Hunt on the
grounds! This is like an Easter Egg Hunt, but we will be
searching for Halloween treats instead.
Remember, if you are a member of Flint Bowmen, then your
kids are members of the FBIYC. So join us at our October
celebration!
The Flint Bowmen Inc. Youth Club (FBIYC) would like to thank all
of the members for the help and support that was showed to the FBIYC
this past year. We would like to thank everyone who bought our too
salty pop corn; everyone who cleaned out their old archery supplies
and donated them to the FBIYC so we could make arrow pens and
pencils to sell; and everyone who bought the pens and pencils from
us. Thank you to everyone who bought a card in the broadhead buck
raffle and everyone who helped this year by taking part in the many
other fund raisers as well.
With all the kids’ hard work and the help of the many generous
members, the FBIYC was able to give back to those who come to our
club to learn about archery. The kids of the FBIYC decided to use
this year’s money from all of our fund raisers to fix and update the
Genesis bows used by the Instructional Kids’ League and the kids’ 3D
shoot.
The FBIYC would like to thank Matt Brown, the owner of Bear Foot
Archery, for all of his help with the FBIYC latest project. With
Matt’s help, the FBIYC was able to purchase parts that were needed
to repair some of the bows, new sights for several of the bows that
did not have them, additional arm guards, and some new arrows. The
FBIYC would like to thank everyone for all of their hard work, help,
encouragement, and support.

Flint Bowmen Inc. Youth Club
Archery isn't just for adults! The kids at the
Flint Bowmen prove that. The Flint Bowmen has a youth group just for
members 18 and younger. The Flint Bowmen youth group is the Flint
Bowmen Inc Youth Club or FBIYC as we like to call it. If you have
kids or if you are a kid at heart, come to Flint Bowmen Club and get
involved. Come join us and be a part of the FBIYC.
The FBIYC has its own board. We have
meetings,
take votes, and participate at some level in nearly all of the
events at the Flint Bowmen Inc. In 2009 the FBIYC was involved in
many things such as spring clean up of the play ground, many work
days, family game night, The Hicks Shoot, Flint Bowmen Fall Shoot.
The FBIYC did a couple fund raisers such as pop corn sales, 50/50
raffle. The youth at the Flint Bowmen put in a combined total of 478
hour of volunteer work in 2009.
My name is Juli Campbell and I am the
FBIYC coordinator. This is my second year as
the FBIYC Coordinator I enjoy working with
all the members at the Flint Bowmen to
promote the involvement of the youth at the
Flint Bowmen. Last year was a fun year. I am
looking forward to working with the FBIYC
board to produce a productive, fun filled,
active year for the youth and young at heart
at the Flint Bowmen in 2010.
