On May 1, 2010 the FBIYC held a Family Game night at the indoor
range of the Flint Bowmen Inc. This was a night of fun &
competition. We had both board games and archery games. Some of the
games that we had that night were Life, Sorry, Connect 4, Catch
Phrase, Right Left Center, and Phase 10.
A few of the archery games we had that night included Archery
darts, NASCAR racing, Tic Tac Toe, and Battle Ship. We had 35 people
show up that night. It was such a beautiful spring evening that many
of the kids played games on the play ground until dark.
Mike Alexander challenged Nathan Squires to a round of NASCAR
racing. It was a close race until Nathan shot the engine of one of
Mike’s car. Not only once but a couple of times! It is ok no oil
spilled on the range. I lost twice to Eric Woodby at Tic Tac Toe but
I did redeem myself when I challenged Craig Preston to a round of
Battle ship. I did not care that Graig’s men were in a rubber raft
on rations. Chelsea Woodby came from behind to win at Battle Ship
against her father Jason Woodby. Laurie LaLonde and Maggie Alexander
had an exciting game of Catch Phrase.
That night at Flint Bowmen cries of joy, excitement, victory and
defeat could be heard. It was a night filled with old friends, new
friends, healthy competition, topped off with many smiles and
laughs. The FBIYC would like to thank Mrs. Maggie Alexander for
bringing in several of the more popular games.
As the Flint Bowmen Youth Inc, Coordinator I would like to thank
everyone who came out that night to help make this a big success. I
would like to the FBIYC board for all of their hard work in getting
the Family Game Night ready. I would also like to thank the parents
of the FBIYC members for all of their support, help, encouragement,
and the giving of their time.
