You may have noticed the nip in the air
these last couple mornings. In fact, some of you may have even
noticed traces of ice on your windshield if you leave for work or
school early enough. You may have noticed that a few of the trees
have begun to change color ever so slightly.
Fall is upon us my friends and you all know
what that means. It's time to check and double check all of your
equipment, go over your list of last minute purchases and any needed
adjustments. Your bow should be dialed in by now and you've
practiced until the draw, hold, aim and release come as naturally
and effortlessly as breathing. You're ready!
We wait all year for this and it passes by far
too quickly. Either you get lucky and tag-out right away, or not so
lucky and you run out of calendar before you run out of tags. It
just never does last long enough. Between the camaraderie of deer
camp with great friends and family and the special time you get to
spend, all alone, out in nature, there is nothing better than
hunting season in Michigan.
I would like to wish all of the Flint Bowmen
members and non-members alike; all hunters here in Michigan or
anywhere, the best hunting season ever. But even
more so I wish you all a SAFE and memorable hunting season. Be sure
to use ALL of your safety equipment. Be sure that someone ALWAYS
knows where you'll be hunting and when to expect you back. It's
worth the extra time and effort to make sure you'll have many more
hunting seasons ahead of you.
Good luck and God Bless!
